Vacuum & Atmosphere Services Ltd is celebrating its twenty-year anniversary!
Established in April 2000, VAS has supplied and serviced more than 300 heat treatment customers as well as in-excess of 1000 heat treatment atmosphere and vacuum furnaces worldwide.
In direct contrast to the company’s humble beginnings as a ‘one-man-startup’, VAS now employs 30 staff, 21 of whom are atmosphere and vacuum furnace engineers with a combined experience of more than 250 years. VAS also owns two vacuum pump companies – Vacuum Pump Services, based in Bristol, and Vacuum Pump Services (North), situated in Doncaster. The firm also represents Ipsen, the global powerhouse and leading manufacturer of both atmosphere and vacuum furnaces.
VAS founder and Managing Director, Mike Long, prides himself on providing the best service and products while ensuring customer downtime is kept to a minimum. This has led to VAS becoming the top performing atmosphere and vacuum furnace service provider in the UK with worldwide recognition.
Benefitting from a transparent and honest approach, the growth of VAS has been stratospheric with the last four years being a particularly pivotal time for the company.
VAS anticipates continued growth over the next five years as it explores new ventures, invests in the company and its employees, makes acquisitions within the marketplace while embracing new technology and processes.
VAS is also busy creating a succession plan for the business, to be released over the coming months, which prepares the business for future growth.
