Morgan, who joined VAS’s intensive apprenticeship programme in 2018 has been shortlisted as Apprentice of the Year in the Engineering and Manufacturing category.
Morgan completed his four-year qualification to become a furnace engineer with apprenticeship provider Make UK and is now qualified to install and service furnaces independently, both in the UK and overseas.
VAS Quality, Health & Safety Manager Andy Nisbet said: “Morgan demonstrates a ‘can do’ attitude and is regularly singled out by customers for his exceptional customer service and attitude.
“He is committed, hardworking and his attention to detail is exceptional. He is a valuable member of the team and a shining example of apprentices in the business.”

The awards ceremony will take place on November 3rd at The Grand Station, Wolverhampton.
A trusted partner for leading brands, VAS was launched in 2000 by two engineers to offer vacuum and atmosphere furnace services and has progressed to offer the full service package for the heat treatment industry, ranging from bespoke new furnaces to spare parts.
Employing 35 staff and providing furnace services for the likes of Mercedes, GE Power, Moog and Collins Aerospace, VAS is promoted as an engineering company run by engineers.
